HOW IT ALL STARTED
Freedom Starts at the Hilltop.
Founded in 2012 in Kaufman, Texas, Hilltop Recovery Ministries began with a clear mission: to equip women with the tools to live free from destructive lifestyles and to encourage lasting transformation. From the very beginning, our heart has been to walk alongside women as they take courageous steps toward healing, wholeness, and purpose.

In 2019, we relocated to Bell County, expanding our reach through community outreach services. This move marked a new chapter—one rooted in deeper connection and broader impact.
By 2020, we had settled into a beautiful brownstone, creating a safe daytime haven for women aged 18 and older. Here, we offered case management, life skills training, and faith-based discipleship, all designed to break the cycle of vulnerability and foster permanent change.
In 2024, we moved into the historic Cora Anderson Hospital—a building with deep roots and a legacy of healing. This space became a sanctuary, echoing our commitment to restoration and renewal.
Our most significant growth came in 2025 with the launch of our women-only, faith-based chemical dependency residential treatment program. This milestone represents the fulfillment of a long-held vision: to provide comprehensive, Christ-centered care that empowers women to reclaim their lives and walk boldly into their future.

OUR MISSION
Our doors are open to women 18 and older facing crisis of any kind. No matter the struggle, we believe that true and lasting recovery is found in God alone, and we walk alongside each woman on her journey to freedom and hope.
OUR VISION
To equip women with the tools to live free from destructive lifestyles and encourage them to move forward on the path toward permanent change...as they discover their gifts and talents that GOD provides.
